The BLT pasta salad looks tasty. We have someone in the gaming group who is a vegetarian so it would be easy to tweak it a little and make it work for her. With either some wheat thins or hearty bread it would make a nice light meal. I love finding new recipes to expand what I already have.

The BLT pasta was really delicious. My son used Bacon Bits instead of the real thing, and he said it was good. Good enough that he more for lunch the next day. I'd also use the fake bacon we sometimes buy, but it tends to be expensive.

Oh, salmon. SALMON. I absolutely love salmon. Perish the thought of what it'd be like if I didn't live in a country that's basically mountains and fjords full of salmon. Well, the sea and fjords, not so much the actual mountains. Salmon is one of my favourite foodstuffs, because it's both healthy and it can be served with just about anything. Exhibit a ( ... )

The spouse and I love salmon, but the kids don't care for it. But when they're not home, there's no reason we shouldn't have it.

I like the addition of steamed vegetables. The whole dinner sounds very healthy and tasty.

Wha-? How can they not like salmon? Have you tried different ways of preparing it and seasoning it etc? Because how fish is prepared can make all the difference, especially with people who aren't as keen on it. I think my favourite way is to put lemon pepper, sliced leek, and sliced carrots on a salmon fillet, put wrap the whole thing in tin foil, and cook it in the oven. No burned bits, no dry bits, just lovely, lovely salmon ( ... )

The kids essentially are vegetarians, but even so, they never liked fish when they did eat meat.

Fruit and veg are the food of life. The more of them we eat, the better off we are!

My cooking mojo flies out the window as soon as summer hits. Good job on both of these!

It's hard to get excited about summer cooking. The oven heats up the kitchen, even if a person has air-conditioning, and there's only so much crockpot stuff I want to make.

Winter? That's a bit different. It's nice to have something simmering on the stove all day.

I made some garlic pasta the other night, but I added some sauted mushrooms and fresh basil to it. It was still a bit bland, so I think I'll add more garlic next time, as well as a ton of pepper.

I'd use a whole head of garlic. 2 cloves is like, one serving for me XD
