Title: Dreams
Fandom: Donald Strachey Mysteries
Pairing/Characters: Donald Strachey/Timothy Callahan
Rating PG-13
Prompt: Dreams
Notes I'm taking a shot at writing stream of consciousness. I've discovered it's much harder to do than I thought. I've also concluded that S of C is not my style. About 1900 words. Written for smallfandomfest.

rating: pg-13, angst, slash, fanfiction, donald strachey mysteries, fan fiction

Do not say that S of C is not your style: this is awesome. (Also, as an aside, I don't know the fandom, but I didn't need to: the story sucked me in and held me).

Awesome work.

What a kind thing to say! It's always my goal to write something that'll make the fandom fans happy, but it's also fun to draw in a new reader. Thank you for taking the time to read and comment - I appreciate it very much.

Since you think it's all right, maybe I'll try a little S of C again sometime.

This is because great minds think alike. Right?

Thanks for the compliment.

Feeling slightly silly now, but what is S of C..?

I like the story, right from the off it sounds like Timmy, and I can very much picture him refusing to give up his wedding ring for anything.

Stream of consciousness - I guess I was thinking like Bertie and only using initials for longer words.

I'm glad the voice was OK. Movieverse Timmy is hard for me to write, and I'm not sure why.

As always, thanks for reading!

Ah, I see.

I think you write movie!Timmy quite well, I wasn't aware that you find him difficult to write, it certainly doesn't show.

And as always, thank you for writing.

That was really intense. I thought the dream sequence was well done and had the kind of other world feel that dreams often do. There is no doubt in my mind that Timmy would do exactly what he did in the story when it comes to his wedding ring.

I am no Timmy. I don't even know for certain where my wedding ring is! I'm glad you think this was in character for him - I was a bit worried about that.

Thanks so much for reading and commenting. One of these days you'll have to tell me about Gundam Wing. I have no idea what that is.

I haven't worn mine for years. I lost a lot of weight a while ago and almost lost it a couple of times so I quite wearing until I had it resized which just has never happened.

In a nutshell Gundam Wing is an anime series from the 90s about five teenage boys who pilot giant mecha to stop a war. It is a lot more involved and has tons of characters. At the heart it is an antiwar series. The anime is 49 episodes long and is very complex in terms of the politics that go on.

Oh - I rarely cry when reading (I'm too logical to cry.)but I teared up for this. It's beautiful and very sad, but fortunately happy at the end. (I'm not good with death fics.) You did a wonderful job.
