"Crossed Wires" - A Donald Strachey Mysteries fic

Sep 05, 2010 01:23

Well, kids, I've found another fandom that I love a lot. I've been babbling about the "Donald Strachey Mysteries" on and off for a bit now and finally found the courage to write a fic for Donald and Timmy. They're too adorable for words. And while I think Bertie would find Donald fascinating, I do think Jeeves would entirely approve of Timmy.

I just watched On The Other Hand, Death tonight! Sweetie watched it with me even though he was sad there were no explosions. (I will not be so cruel as to make him watch later Strachey stories.)

This is very cute! I want very much to get to know these characters more.

Sadly, this series could use more gunfights and a few explosions.

Margot Kidder really chewed up the scenery in that movie. It was good to see her again. So sweet of your sweetie to watch it with you; mine never would have done it.

Once you get to know them, you can write fic. I don't know them well at all, but I did it anyway. Thanks for reading the story, my dear.

So I clicked on your name after seeing your posting of the pic in nick_n_nora (cause I'm nosy like that) and saw you'd posted a fic, so of course had to read it :) I guessed where it was going, but that didn't make it any less hilarious and adorable! Great job!

Nice of you to drop by! Yeah, there were no surprises in this fic. When I get my feet wet in a new fandom, I tend to chart a safe course, just to see if I can do it. I'm glad you still thought it was cute. Thanks for reading and for the lovely compliments.

I don't think a fic has to surprise to be enjoyable, it just has to be well written, and you've got that down :)

And a new Strachey writer is born! Yay!!! Fun piece. I especially loved the seemingly total randomness of Timmy announcing, "I'm not waxing, Donald." I could just picture the look on Donald's face as he tried to process that one!

It was bound to happen. I'll never reach your level in this fandom, but it was fun to contribute something.

Yes, that was kind of random. I see Timmy as a man of random outbursts. Donald rants in a more linear fashion.

Thanks for reading and commenting. Did you get the screencaps?

I'm perpetually behind on my email, but yes I did get them and they're awesome! Thank you so much for sending them!!!

I'll be watching to see what you do with them. I'm hoping to figure out how to do automatic caps via VLC. Once I get those, I'll have lots to share. I'm a techno-doofus, though, so it might be a while.

Cute, cute, cute. And you know Tim would do the passive stewing thing all day long if he could have. :D Thanks for sharing!

I'm glad you liked it. These two are too cute to be believed.

That's what makes these two so fascinating. Their personalities are so, so different and the actors are so very consistent in their reactions. If Donald all of a sudden started stewing about something, his character would be suspect. If something bothers him, everyone knows it. Not so with our dear Timmy.
