I know. When I watch the old clips, the current writing seems even more out of whack. I might be at a point where I don't look for anything new with them and just dwell on the old. That's why I still haven't watched the last episode of QaF. I know what's coming, and I don't want to see any of those characters unhappy.

"That guy that sparkled" is the Master. Hands down my favorite Doctor Who villain. Also, he and the Doctor are two of the most slashable characters ever. There are some fanfics that probably don't even need to be written because the show made them next-to-canon.
