Yes, I've got that movie on the brain. Here's a glowing review that has lots of pictures but does contain spoilers. It was written in April 2009. Perhaps that's when the DVD became available? I'm not sure ( Read more... )

Have you ever read the book? It's bally marvelous. I've got it on my netflix queue, too, but I'll probably buy a copy for keeps.

I'm so happy you convinced me to give the movie another shot ;P and I'm only too happy to have found a fellow fan! I love all E. M. Forster's work, but Maurice is special to me :)

As soon as I finish Arsene Lupin and a selection of detective stories, I'm going to read Howard's End. But if Maurice arrives from the bookstore before that, then that will get a re-read.

My kids want to read Maurice, too. I can't wait to see what they think of it.
