I cannot believe I've forgotten about this re: Sherlock Holmes

Yesterday a friend reminded me of a mutual acquaintance from long, long ago. My friend said this acquaintance had been to our area recently to do one of his Sherlock Holmes performances. It's been years since I've seen this acquaintance

I saw him very briefly a year ago, when he was performing in our town's cemetery tour. I didn't get a chance to talk to him. Funny story: I brought my daughter into the office 4 weeks after she was born and he insisted on holding her. She ralphed down the back of his sweater.

He's got quite an acting resume, mostly civic theatre, but still. I've seen him on stage in other roles, but never Holmes. Hmm. Maybe I should tell him about fanfic. But that would probably kill him. He's a strictly canon nut.

If he replies to my email re: Jeeves play, I'll ask him. I'll bet he has, but I'll bet he'll be quick to say they're not as good. Which I will dispute, of course.

It is pretty cool. He's written original Holmes plays, too. Quite accomplished.
