It took me a while to realize that this journal's original owner is dead. The account has been settled, and payment has been received.
Travelling has become hazardous as of late.

Indeed it has. I've gotten pretty lucky so far, but I've heard stories of people bandits and highwaymen.

They're more than stories on this side. I barely managed to escape a group of bandits before finding this journal.
Maybe it's time to move further to the East again, but that's only a temporary measure until one war or the other catches up.

There's more than stories on this end too, but you don't need to know that.
To leave the war behind, that would be nice. May I ask who it is who has found your journal?

Yes, it would be.
My name is Watanuki. May I know yours?

That's to be expected, with the war on. With the clans fighting each other and the Emperor watching, there's less attention to spare on law and order.

Unfortunately. But couldn't they at least spare a few territories for those of us who don't want to get involved?

Most of the territories to the East are currently uninvolved if you want to get away from it all. Although I wouldn't expect that to last forever.

That's what I was afraid of.
How about you? Any plans of moving?

Yes. There are too many restless elements these days. I guess they haven't reached you yet, and I hope they never do.

I...I will agree that it has. Though with the war, it is to be expected...

All too much.
You sound troubled, if you don't mind me saying so. Are you all right?

Yes, I am all right. It is simply disheartening how the war has changed so many people...in some cases for the worst.

Conflict can bring out the worst in us. It's... sad, to see someone you care about go into the deep end. More than sad.

I agree, traveling has become very dangerous of late. Although I can promise that if you find yourself in Hyrule the roads will be relatively safe.

The Princess Zelda..? It's an honor to meet you, your highness.
I'm glad to hear that Hyrule is still a safe haven.

You have me at a disadvantage good sir. You know my name but I am afraid I do not know yours.
As safe as I can make it during these troubling times.

Ah! Please forgive my rudeness. My name is Watanuki.
I'm sure that everyone living in Hyrule is grateful for that. Thank you.
