Separating out cause I do wanna post this, but it really shouldn't share space with the last post.

Ok so insanely long debate on whether the birds were vindictive. I said no, (not sure why, and I sort of changed my position oh well) the other side said yes, back and forth. And I open HBP today, to look up something else, and of course canon ( Read more... )

Story, it crax me up that you didn't look at canon about the "vindictive" thing! I am sadly guilty of the same thing -- I left a review for a fic on the Quill one time that completely revealed my lack of understanding of a major plot detail from HBP. I'd only read HBP once at the time, and when I re-read it I figured out how wrong I'd been... Embarrassing!

Oh, I've got a story like that! I was sporking a chapter of a story (the story was a retelling of HBP) where everyone was trying out for Quidditch, and a big deal was made out of Ron's re-trying out for Quidditch in HBP. Part of my sporking was wondering why people were re-trying out for the team in the first place ... oops.
