Studying Abroad Speed Bumps

Found NDSU's International Exchange website and I've been cruising it...and I'm just frustrated.  My first three choices aren't options through the school or an international program that NDSU is part of (which means my tuition would be thousands of dollars cheaper if they were).  So I'm upset about that...Of course I could just got to Leeds ( Read more... )

But you don't live in Manchester yet...of course by the time that I'm eligible to go to Leeds, you will. HMMM.
The only probably with Leeds is that their dorms aren't close to the campus so there will be walking or rumour has it there's decent public transportation in Engand...which shcoks me b/c it sucks out loud over in Fargo.

It is pretty decent. If you buy a bus pass and a rail card, you're sorted. There are bus stops everywhere and everywhere has a train station too. There isn't a place in England you can't get to via train or bus.

That's good to hear, its just learning the bus/train system. The Fargo system is there (buses) but we don't have a very efficient system.
I'm going to email the coordinator and see if I have to a full year at NDSU before theywant me overseas ... but since I'll be coming in as a junior that shouldn't be the case. So it'll be this time of year 2010 when I'm coming home... if that makes sense.
