1) I remember I found out by my friend sending me a message while she was at work via MSN (her workplace had public net access), and my shock was about the same as when Dad came home from the pub and told me that Steve Irwin had passed away.
2) I had to smile when I read the three ways to shut Alfred up, but most of it had me near-tears.
3) That so had to be done! I actually say flip-flops these days when around friends with dirty minds so they don't think I'm getting something other than footwear when I mention buying a new pair of thongs.

All three were great!

1. I found out when I woke up. I was shocked because he was such a great guy, and when they said that he suffered from depression, I couldn't believe it. Now that I have depression too, I guess I know a little how he felt before he died.

2. I hope those are good tears, not bad tears.

3. When I saw the prompt, I just had to write it! I'm always explaining slang to my overseas internet friends.
