No rest for the wicked

Today was my first proper day at work! 10am to 8pm, I couldn't have got up any earlier though. And I've got to sleep soon cos I have to be in again at 8am, and I finish at 8pm again. Tiring, but not that bad; my poor Mum has to work all night tonight. Nurses have horrible rotas. I'm a bit annoyed that work just told us that they're changing ( Read more... )

Weekend of the 2nd and 3rd is when people are coming to Norwich to see me if you want to join us. If you pay your travel I'll make sure you don't starve for the weekend and we have a big bottle of tattie-booze...

Wow, I'll definitely come up then. I've gotten so mixed up with dates I kept thinking that was a different weekend! The only thing is, I'm allergic to the cats. But kittens are so cute and I want to see them. >_> Meh. Is there any way I can have a relatively allergy-free weekend while still staying with you? I just need a cat-hair free room. I will have to keep my kitten squeeing to a minimum, but that's my problem I guess.

Hmm, should I risk the tattie-booze tho? Entirely different question. ^_~

...Matt's room is cat hair free for sleeping in (Matt has moved out, we get a new lodger on the 4th)...Living space might be more difficult. The living room is pretty much infested. Do you have anti-histamines? My room is clean too and I can shut the cats in the living room, or even in the workshop so we could go in the living room but it'd still all be covered in hairs. The kitchen should be cleanable but it's tiny.

Well I'll try and stick it out with my heavy dose antihistamines. If we're spending lots of time outside due to bbq-related activities it shouldn't be too bad though.

Yeah, we so have to do something. My new rota means I should be free weekday evenings though, maybe we could catch a movie or something? xx

Tips tips, everyone loves tips! Good luck with finding a second job - hope it's not like in Aus where you have to pay shitty amounts of tax on your second job that make it barely worth keeping. Go to the Beefeater in Mitcham and tell them Ho-man recommended you or something XD

Well I suspect the tax does go up a fair amount but tips are cash in hand. ;) I will have to find that Beefeater and demand a job! XD
