Aren't they atheists and libertarians? Yavanna is an archangel, servant of the Elder King. They wouldn't get along too well.

Well, they are devotees of Reason. If you could prove the existence of God to them, they'd have to believe it. Doesn't mean they'd worship him, though.

When I first read that as a tyke the colour combinations of the flowers (blue and silver / red and gold) reminded me of the older pokemon games.

Now I just think they are kinda tacky (I mean, red and gold, really?)
