Firstly, excuse me, I must rant a bit, as I have been wanting to in her face but can't for the sake of professionalism or whatever it is that makes me a sweet thing. ( yeah, right )
Sorry about your coworker. You must have bailed her out before. She might continue to jerk you around.
I liked the movie overall, but the Harry/Ginny thing was lame. The made Ginny meek and mousy. That suck. Very different from the book. The scenes were awkward...awk. Non readers will probably like it. I didn't. Plus she is TOO BIG for shorty Dan. That guy is tiny. They should have recast for a midget or something. Or stretch him...or make him wear high heels, or stand on a box, or....
I hadn't bailed her out before, but she demands stuff all the time. Give me this, give me that, blah.
Aren't they the same height though? Or she's slightly taller? But yeah I get what you mean. Meek. Pfft. Book!Ginny would have eaten movie!Ginny any given day.
Oh god, a jumped a mile at that Inferi bit as well. I actually wasn't expecting anything. Then I looked to my left and my friend had her jumper half over her face. Then I looked back. Then WHAM it happened. Yikes! Also lolled a lot at McLaggen, especially when he licked his finger at Slug Club dinner party and threw Hermione the come-hithers.
Was impressed with Dan in this one! Emma is always the shittest I think.
OMG that was me with my hands. And I still managed to like squeak and jump. Holy shit. It was one of those moments when you KNEW, because it was in the books, but STILL ack! McLaggen was hands-down awesome-sleazy.
Dan is impresses me exponentially in each movie. Thank goodness Columbus does not direct him anymore; he was a freaking wood plank in the first two movies. And yes, everyone talks about how maaaahvelous Emma is but... honestly, her crying is for shit. Thank gosh Hermione got a bit violent with the canaries (I WANTED THEM TO PECK HIM TO DEATH) because I couldn't stand her pitiful wah-wah crying. But need I say anything about Rupert? *worships the funneh man that can do serious like nobody's business*
I just thought you should know, your co-worker sucks. For seriously.
And HBP... I can't believe they left out the epic battle at the end. It wasn't supposed to be so quiet. There was supposed to be teachers and Order members and students fighting DE's while Dumbledore was AK'ed by Snape. And a few membories too! *Wanted to see Morfin* I feel like they robbed us of a bit of development on Voldemort's part. That the memories were supposed to provide insight to his obsession with his heritage, which would help point Harry in the right direction. And I wanted to see Snape chew Harry out during DADA classes. I ♥ Alan Rickman as Snape. He's BRILLIANT.
My favorite part though, had to be when Harry took the Felix Felicis. He looked intoxicated! "And the pincers..." *does finger gestures to illustrate point* Bahah!
Oh, I know. I'm consoled, though, because I'm there only temporarily. But even if I was permanent I'd still keep mum because I'm just too sweet for my own damn good. Shocking, when you read how potty my brain is.
I read that they left out the battle to make DH even more epic. Okay, I understand the need to finish with a bang, no problem. But I know what you mean. And yeah, the memories. I wonder how they'll work out how he connects the dots. Ah yes Snape, how do I love Rickman? Very very much. There was the right amount of angst and disgust and frustration and everything else in his eyes when he told Harry. Wow.
Teeh, that guy was brilliantly cast. I predict great things for him.
*flail* A couple of guys actually thought it was me! Yeah, it might have looked like crippling guilt that I hung around trying to figure out what to do while Mrs. IT-WAS-ACTUALLY-ME trudged off elsewhere, but I sure as hell would have apologised a trillion times had I killed it. Just sayin'.
Sorry about the bitch you have at your job. *hugs*
I'm working my way through your updates now.
I saw HP last weekend and I loved it. I quite agree that Harry and Ginny felt forced. The shoelace scene was a little ridiculous and I'm surprised that they cut the Qudditch match and celebration out of it because that's when Harry and Ginny really got together. Oh, well.
One little problem. I felt like the cave scene should have been a tad longer and that they should have showed the Dumbledore scene a little more. You know how he was in so much pain when he was drinking the potion. Maybe that's just me though. :D
Meh. I'm out of there at the end of August and won't go back because insurance is not my thing. Just a summer job and besides after this school year I'll be out in the real world (which is scary but I'll deal ;)
Oh yeah I felt so robbed that they took out the Quidditch celebration party scene with H/G. That would have been epicccc. More so than the shoelace/burning Burrow thing in the movie.
Mmyeah I admit I would have liked the cave scene to be longer but ultimately I felt that that scene was one of the better canon scenes they kept :) I really liked that underwater shot, too.

I think it's kind of funny that she managed to kill the printer.
