Do you think Montreal will ever separate? I have been hearing about this movement for a while.

Montreal, separating from Quebec? I've never heard that but THAT WOULD BE WEIRD WTF.

No, they're talking about Quebec separating from Canada. Which would be JUST AS WEIRD. And stupid. "Hi, I'm from Quebec, the country smack dab in the middle of Canada. Country within country, bb."

Hailstorm? Just a nice balmy day in Canada. Seriously, you have some horrific ice storms up there. "shudder"

Montral and the seperatists blow hot and cold. Not to worry. The party seems to wake up, strut around, then goes back to sleep.

Yeah but not in June haha. Ice storms are really cool. Destructive, sure, but very cool.

Mm true, but they're trying to push for a referendum like in 1995. Blah. And to top it off we might have to vote federally again this summer. I have voted probably twice as much as my sisters did at my age *rolls eyes*

Oi Vey...

Before that (I think in the 1970s?) That was the big threat. They had a Marxist guy in control then. Anyway, I think the origins of the party asa power was 1969. Something like that.

Everytime that happens, France looks happy and the US thinks of taking over the rest of Canada....If that happens, everyone in Canada will have to speak Spanish...

Yes it's a fairly young party, born around the time the Charter of Rights was adopted I believe.

Spanish?! Damn, I only took the one class in college ;P

I'm not Canadian but I totally agree. Especially since it seems a lot of Q's are bilingual.

Montrealers, actually. And a few elsewhere (Cantons and Valleyfield and Sherbrooke mostly).

Anyhow, I am off for the rest of the day! Toodles!
