Life, or something like it

Just kind of blah today. This whole week, really. Lost the weekday job cause they were cranky about my inability to get there early on Mondays due to my weekend job. Le sigh. On the bright side, I should have an interview for an instructional aide position at the same place kizmet100 got her job. I had it scheduled for Monday, but again, that whole coming ( Read more... )

Because I've been staying at my folks' place and my mom was a party to it, they said there was nothing I could do as it is considered an owner surrender. It doesn't help that because she is a wolf hybrid, they either have to go to a licensed rescue or be euthanized once they are "owner surrendered". I don't even have the option of paying a fee to reclaim her, not that I have $100 laying around for that anyway right now. :(

*growls* that is horrible. I am so sorry for you and your baby. :/

I wish I was closer, and I could help!

I recommend applying at countrywide (my co) because they do have better-than-minimum starting wages, and the entry level positions are mostly just easy dataentry/clerical, if you don't mind cubicles most of the time. :)

Nope, don't mind cubicles at all. :) How do I apply there? :)

countrywide has websites that list openings, like every other company, but like every other company, not everything gets listed. I would recommend going to the local office and speaking with a manager about any PA positions available in the region.

and here are your local branches :)

The PA (production assistant) positions are sort of general clerical, and allow you to train in homeloans (sales) or funding (operations). Occasionally there are marketing positions open, too, or personal assistant positions (technically what I do) or receptionist.

Find out which temp agency they go through, if they don't have any openings; we've had a devilishly hard time finding competent employees; temps with brains seem to be nearly non-existant. :/

I'm so sorry your dog was taken away. That was awful of them to do that.

They're treating you like a little kid who can't take care of anything, and like you don't have any mental capacity, or something.

*hugs* I wuv j00.

I know. :(
On the bright side, Novim was horrified. I was glad, as I'd thought she'd have been less reactive to the news... LOL She wants to get me a puppy for Xmas. I had to tell her it wasn't a good idea, at least this year. :)
