Screw her and thinking that she knows best how to run MY life, MY health If this was coming from a Republican, it would pretty clearly be a pro-business push, too take pressure off hospitals who are required to treat everyone regardless of ability to pay.
I'm not sure how she's getting away with spinning it as "health care for everyone", but I don't expect her plan to happen whether she gets elected or not.
Why take a chance? Let us make sure she is not elected.
I have little sympathy for the hospitals.
First off, hospitals are not required to treat all comers regardless of ability to pay. They are only required to treat emergencies and stabilize life threatening situations. Once you are well enough to walk out of the hospital on your own, the hospital can give you the boot at will.
If you show up with stomach pain, all they have to do is make sure you aren't going to die. Once they are through with that, they don't have to go beyond that, like x-rays, endoscopy or colonoscopy. They don't even have to do blood work to see if you have an infection.
Secondly, I will never forget my trip to the Baptist Hospital System head quarters in Louisville, KY. The reception area was a lavish small ballroom type affair with a full concert grand piano, a wet bar stocked with the good stuff and some original painting on the wall.
And that is a "non-profit" hospital system...
Right...
What ever you can do to the hospitals is OK by me.
Except for the part about voting for Obama, I agree with everything you said.
Enforcing her plans under the threat of punishment has always been in Sen. Clinton's game plan. How else can we be forced to go along with what's best for us?
For example, let me point you to the original health care plan she helped put together under her husband's administration. The parts about fines and jail for going to a physician you are not assigned to, paying for your own health care and accepting money for treating someone were all very telling.
It was amazing to see the number of clauses that mentioned fines and or jail in a health care plan.
