Tutorial 01.

wickedground wanted a tutorial for this icon from my recent batch of Merlin icons.





Firstly I took this screencap by _becca84_



and used newkidfan's incredible masking tutorial over here to crop out Arthur and Merlin.

Then I just added a series of colour layers and textures.

Layer #1: #fffcf4 set to colour burn.
Layer #2: #e5f8fe set to colour burn.
Layer #3: #ffebd6 set to colour burn.

Then I added this texture by aesc and set it to multiply.


Then this texture, again by aesc and set it to soft light at 20%.


Then I added the same texture and set it to multiply at 50%.

I then added some text, As Lovers Go in Arial Narrow and messed about with positioning and kerning etc.

Obviously don't copy this exactly, just use it as a guide.
