I could pair Peter with anybody, tbh. The fact that Lydia/Peter is practically canon speaks to the kink lover in me.

These two are just too interesting to pass up. The dynamics, the angst, the hurt and pain that they would put each other through - it's just too interesting to pass up.

Yes yes yes to all of this. Have you read the Hades/Persephone essay? The parallels are interesting, even if They weren't intended. Their story really is a nice mix between Greek mythology and Little Red Riding Hood (the wolf even disguised himself to get Red to follow him).
