Folsom Street Fair

Seeing as there are so many LJers that live in SF, and that many people are coming in to town - can we get someone local to designate a time and place on Sunday during the fair where all us LJ folk can congregate for a 'live meeting'?

So you're asking for someone to tell you where to go in no uncertain terms?

Could be a dangerous thing on LJ.

If nobody else speaks up, I'll find out when Randy's and my shifts will be over at the Alameda County Leather Corps beer booth, and we can meet there.

I'm large and difficult to miss in the crowd. :)

Meeting at a beer locale should be a good thing.

Well, it's a beer booth ... but Randy and I are usually pretty easy to spot.

Actually, we're easy to spot even when we're not working in a beer booth.

Getting folks together during the day of the fair would probably prove really difficult. The fair is pretty damned crowded, and it's hard to gauge time. You're bound to run into LJ folks there, but probably not in an organzied fashion.

You may have better luck gathering folks at a dinner outing the night before. Firewood on 18th in the Castro is a good spot for getting a bunch of people together for dinner. Everyone pays their own way, and tables can be scooted together as needed.

At 7:30pm on Saturday, a bunch of LJ square dancers will be dancing to otterpop58 at the Leather Lace Dance.

How large is it? In NY, we only go one block, but still manage to miss people. I probably won't organize a full dinner, was just thinking of an afternoon check-in. I'm usually a wanderer at fairs, so I guess I'll just be on the lookout for icons.
