I paid off my student loan from Michigan while I was still living in New York. Today though, I got an email from the bank's collections department about "an important business matter." I get everything I paid into taxes back this year, which I knew would happen. I hadn't realized how much it would be. It looks like it'll be just enough to cover the rent that I will continue to owe on my apartment through the end of June. It's a frustrating situation. Oh boy; I get to deal with taxes for two different states again.

I also just noticed that FreedomPop charged me *again* for a month of service after telling me that December would be the last one.

It's been simply wonderful having Danae here. As we spend time together, talking, eating, studying, walking, it feels as though we were never apart. We've had many conversations, both light and deep. Am I the only person who finds balancing my bank account really enjoyable and satisfying?

Not that I'm working on that right now. I got it done yesterday and am still kind of pleased. It's a way of feeling more in control of things.

I have eaten my first ramen in the new place. There may be a lot of that until I get paid; after the rent and deposit, plus a payment on my old Michigan student loan, I have about $60 in my bank account and about the same in cash thanks to my dad. Plus my credit card.

It was tasty with some added Sriracha.
