My Great-grandfather and Neurodivergence

As folks may know, I have wondered whether I (and later, some immediate family members) were on the autism spectrum since I first encountered the concept in my 20s. I've been pretty sure that there is neurodivergence of some kind there.

Was he left handed? Because it seems to me I use my left hand to manipulate the fork and my right hand for the knife and the spoon, which is how the utensils are normally laid. Or is my European style of eating interfering with this concept?

Hmm... if I were right-handed I'd probably do that. Hmm again... so the table setting rules are actually lefty-centric? I never thought about that!

I suppose they are! I think if I actually sat at tables with proper settings more often than once in a blue moon, I might have thought about the odd handedness of them too.
