Congratulations --both on your new home and on surviving the process! Your house looks great!
It's funny how many correlations there are between your house buying and my most recent experience buying a house here in CT. Most of the houses we looked at were deceptively nice in the listing but awful in person. The first house we found was bought out from underneath us. The house we did get is built in the 40s but wonderfully renovated, and is just under a mile from West Hartford town center, which has also recently become very pedestrian. We walk there every weekend! The process with the bank was just awful, and we almost didn't close. So I definitely understand your emotions!
There's always a lot more to do with a house, but the good news is that you have all the time in the world to do it!
