[Rex clamped a hand over his mouth and turned around with a look of horror on his face.] No! I mean... [He swallowed and nodded.] Okay...

[He grabbed a towel and took a few steps out of the bathroom. The blood on Iago's neck was making him hungry, damn it, and he wasn't about to eat his boyfriend. So, he awkwardly threw the towel at him, rather than risk getting any closer.]

What were you thinking? [He hadn't seen the fangs yet and he had no idea what was wrong. So he just assumed he got carried away. He pulled the towel away slightly and then pressed on it firmly again. It wasn't bleeding hard, but it still hurt. Besides, Iago was in the mood to complain about it.]

[He swallowed and forced himself to pull his gaze from Iago's neck, turning back to the mirror to inspect his teeth.]

I wasn't thinking. Sorry. [Not a real apology so much as an attempt at deflection and distraction, which was probably obvious, since Rex rarely apologized without a fight. He pulled his lip up, inspecting his sharpened canines. What the hell was happening to him?]
