If I'm reading things correctly, I think Theresa Nolan and Broken Promises 22 just plagiarized the same story, thus causing some confusion when people were trying to figure out who wrote the story originally.

Correct. BP22 (as I've taken to abbreviating her name) lives in the US and is 22. Nolan lives in Canada and is 15 per her own admission.

I wrote my fic so long ago that I actually had to go back and reread it to see the similarities and...wow. Not cool at all. I actually haven't ever had this happen to me before, so I'm kinda shocked.

(and also baffled that someone would rip off a fic I wrote so long ago. I'm cringing just reading it again hahaha!)

Between BP22 and this one, what I'm seeing them do is take stories that aren't the author's favorite in hopes they won't get caught.

You're more than welcome. I'm glad she took the stories down, but I have to admit I wish that she would at least confess her culpability.

I know. Her profile even says "I have taken down my stories due to accusations of plagiarism but I will still continue to read and review stories and enjoy all of my favorite authors here on FanFiction" - there's no remorse whatsoever.

And her profile now also says only that she lives in Canada - her age statement is gone.
