Hi. Today janebear14 graciously notified me that one of my stories appeared to be plagarised on the website Supernaturalville. Aaliya82 is currently posting a story titled Suffering in Silence that is an exact copy of a story I wrote back in 2007.

I think you need to be a member to read the story posted on Supernaturalville, but the link is hereThis is my ( Read more... )

*winces* They never learn... and no you are not the only Author she stole from. Sadly this is not the only name she goes by as I stumbled across her at Booksie (A place I had never heard of.) http://www.booksie.com/kayley82 And yes your story is there as well.

Thank you. Never heard of the site either, but went and had a look - she's left a nasty little note and removed all her stories. Some story titles and summaries remain though, and a few seemed very familiar. I've let a few other writers know about her!

Very much appreciate the info.

If you are registered at any sites where the plagiarized stories are posted, be sure to leave a "review" pointing out that the story is stolen so that any future readers will know to whom to direct comments.

Thank you. I was going to, but after my actions, everything has been quickly removed (for now at least). Lucky I got a few sceencaps before I did anything else.

I got a note from kokoda2007 in reference to the "Booksie" site and it appears she took a story of mine as well. All that is left now is the title and the summary, but my story of the same title and summary was originally posted here in my LJ on Aug 29, 2007.

"I have been acused of stealing therefore have deleted my entire work as I do not appreciate being called a thief."

Yeah, because that's how a person 'falsely' accused of plagiarism would react.
