Greetings all,

While this may end up being unnecessary, I am setting up this thread as a place for any additional complaints/concerns about RoninsOath. I'm doing this because I'll get notified in my email, which makes it easier for me to track that all elements are being attended to. The reason I think this thread may be necessary is that alfirin_kirinki is

I'm afraid that I opened the whole roninsoath wound (I think) when I was alerted by a fan that she had plagiarized work that swgmigraines did for an RP and had basically had copied and pasted and then posted it to ff.net.

My co-author and I hit the roof and I raised a huge kerfluffle and basically hounded her to the point to where she deleted her livejournal, and then the stolen fic and issued us a public apology, as well as an emailed apology in response to the email I sent her demanding that she take responsibility for her actions.

I told her that we (myself and others from the RP) knew that she had plagiarized other things and we were contacting the other authors. In her apology, she stated: "I have erased what I have taken and wrote to the members of FF.net committee of my fault as well. I will be given detention from their site as well as I canceled my livejournal.I'm curious as to whether she actually deleted the fics like she said that she would. And I'm also curious as to whether or not she's done

Thank you for providing a little more back story. It appears that roninoath with the ffn account # 2944447 did close out both the LJ account and the ffn account. However, there is now a ffn account # 505714 with the name Ronin S Oath on it. While at this point I do not have proof it is one and the same, it seems likely.

Could you go here and review any fic from fandoms you are familiar with and see if you recognize the work as belonging to someone else? There appears to be a mix of Harry Potter, Manga and some other odds and ends. Particularly with the Manga, I could use some help from those familiar with fic from those fandoms.

Also, I'd ask for folks to not yet post reviews there identifying fic as plagiarized (assuming more turns up) until we've had a chance to verify it. Otherwise, I'm afraid the whole list could disappear before we're done. Thanks.

I don't mind at all if you post a link in your LJ to this post.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I don't operate in any of the other fandoms she has listed and I only work in the Snarry section of HP. I'll ask on my LJ if anyone is familiar with those other fandoms and ask them not to review if they find one.
