Plagiarism by darknight847

On December 23rd, a reader at FF.net alerted me to the fact that someone had re-posted one of my stories as their own. The name of my fic that was plagiarized is "The End", and the original can be found here: www.fanfiction.net/s/5785251/1/The_End. As you can see, it was originally posted to FF.net on March 1st, 2010.

Hi, I'm Cam, I'll be the mod on this case. Is there any further information you'd like to add since you made this report? I've made the necessary screencaps and will attempt to contact darknight847 later on.

I'm afraid plagiarism reports at ff.net have been ignored in the past, sadly.

Well I contacted him myself through FF.net, but he doesn't seem to want to reply to me. One of the other reviewers on the story said that the other two stories posted on his page were plagiarized from mediaminer, but I don't know much about that.

Apparently so. It's been like two weeks and probably over 20 people have reported him, and still no response from any mods there.

Thank you.

Someone also says that this guy's other two stories currently posted are also plagiarized off mediaminer, as well.

His review in that screencap makes my head hurt (and not just because he seems to think using a period or comma costs money or something). His "friend" e-mailed him the story and he asked the friend if it was posted on FF.Net. Okay, so far so good. Then, when he didn't get a reply he decided to take it upon himself to post it on FF.Net? And he gave his "friend" credit in an e-mail to said "friend" but not in the actual fic? What is this I don't even.

I guess it's best not to try and make sense of the gibberish of caught plagiarists, huh?

I know. I have no idea what he was talking about, honestly. :(

The story is gone, you now get an error page when pulling it up but not sure of the cretins profile as there is no direct link to that.

It's gone now.

What a crappy thing to do (even if the given excuse is true, it's still crappy, and could have been prevented by just googling a phrase from the fic, but I doubt it's true if there's other plagiarized fics).

Yes, thankfully he deleted it.

Somehow I think this won;t be the last time he takes something that isn't his. FF.net doesn't seem to strict about plagiarism :/
