[Even back home, Jade always made sure to take a break from his research and allow himself a stroll about Grand Chokmah. This, of course, was the reasoning behind following a rarely taken trail about the dolphin's lake sized pool. When he closed his eyes, the waves, softly crashing against polished rocks and fine-grained sand, sounded almost akin to the ambiance of home. It lacked the cawing of seagulls (the kind not from space) and the murmurs of city-faring folk, but as a substitute, it played its part.

A smile crossed his face, and almost startled him. It didn't last for more than a moment, and something bubbled inside of him. Had he been in his right mind, it probably would have made him physically ill.

Instead... he decided it would be tolerable for once. Nice, even. Something he could share.]

[It had been-- a bad week. Of sorts. Heero didn't show stress, not outwardly, but those that knew him well would be able to tell when he was more on edge.]

His room was just about directly across the ship from his room, so sometimes he took one route and sometimes another, and it happened that this day he chose to take the route that brought him past the pools. As he neared the area, he froze in step a moment. There was.. an odd feeling. It made his senses raise alarm, at first, but then he found that they were being--

--dulled? No, dulled wasn't the word for it. Soothed, maybe. Either way, he could tell something was happening to him, but in a strange, sluggish sort of way, he couldn't stop it.]

[Ed was more or less already tired of this Valentine's Day. Getting squished up against a corridor wall while trying to avoid an alien couple that were very engrossed in themselves will do that to some people. So the rather grumpy expression on was perfectly understandable, really! Hands shoved into his pockets, Ed skirted the edge of the dolphin pool as he headed from the hanger back to the library. He's never seen dolphins in his world, so the animals were a point of curiosity for him. But as he paused by the edge of the pool, he felt a sudden shift in his mood. A grin gradually replaced the scowl that had been on his face just moments before.]
