Killua had said he was going to wait by the elevators, but when Gon arrived on Floor 7, he didn't see any sign of his friend. Either he'd got bored and wandered off or - more likely - there were more than one set of elevators, and Gon had taken the wrong one up. Not discouraged in the slightest, he set out down the corridor, all his senses on alert as he searched for the other boy.

This place was huge! He passed quite a few people on his way around the curving hall, and was beginning to wonder if he'd gone off in the wrong direction entirely when he spotted a familiar head of fluffy white hair.

"Killua!" he called with a grin and a wave, and hurried up to his friend.

"Gon!" Killua grinned back at him. He relaxed slightly, more relieved than he'd admit. Their world had been sucked into a black hole, and he couldn't know for sure that his best friend was alive until he saw him.

He waited for Gon to get close and then whacked him hard over the head. "You used the wrong elevator, didn't you?"

"Owwww!" Gon complained, ducking away and rubbing his head where Killua had hit him. Killua always hit hard. "How was I supposed to know which one you meant? There's more than one!"

"This is the one closest to your room! You went the wrong way!" Killua said. He knew Gon wouldn't be hurt by something like that, so he just pocketed his yo-yo and pushed himself out from the wall. "I've been waiting forever."

"It hasn't been longer than ten minutes," Gon pointed out, straightening up and shoving his hands into his pockets. "You're just impatient."

"I've been waiting for you since I finished the forms," Killua pointed out, crossing his arms stubbornly. He wasn't about to admit that he'd been worried. Gon could take care of himself, he knew that. "You couldn't figure out how to fill them out properly, could you?"
