Killua is following just a step behind Gon, arms behind his head, kicking up snow and for once not caring hat he's leaving a trail. There'll be another snowfall covering it up soon anyway, and besides, it's not as if anyone's after them. And even if they were, it's impossible to plan an ambush out here, and they're difficult to sneak up on to begin with. It'd be a lot easier to attack once they got back to Überkald.

He pushes those thoughts away, because he doesn't have to worry about it. And it feels great to stretch his legs. He's never liked feeling confined, and he likes the space station a lot less than Gon does, so this month has been a lot more fun. It's not like he cares much about the other refugees, since the only person who really matters is right here with him.

He grins, looking around at the field. "Perfect," he decides, taking in the area, shifting a little to note the ground beneath his feet, then rolling his shoulders as he prepares. "You'll be falling over too much to even put up a fight."

Gon responds with a playful shove, grinning even as he says, "Shut up, I will not! You're the one who'll be falling on his butt!" Right now, in this moment when it's just him and Killua and the vast expanse of snow in front of them, it's easy to pretend they've just gotten sidetracked on their search for Ging. He doesn't think about that too often, because there's nothing he can do about it and that bothers him, but sometimes, when it's just them, he does, and it's okay.

And since there's no use in waiting, once he's satisfied he's properly chastised Killua, he moves away from him and prepares to begin, putting up his defenses and waiting for his friend.

Killua tightens the muscles in his legs when even that tiny shove threatens to send him falling to his knees. He only takes a small step to regain his balance though, smirking. It won't be as easy when Gon is really trying to make him fall, though. This is definitely going to be a lot of fun!

Taking a few steps back as well, Killua lets his nen flare up around him, the aura surrounding his entire body protectively. It even feels a little warmer like this, even though he's wearing too much to be cold in the first place. And Gon's nen has gotten a lot stronger lately - he can see it, clearly - but then, so has his. And he still has a few tricks he hasn't shown him.

"You won't be a bad loser like always, right? There's nothing wrong with admitting someone else is better!" he teases, kicking a lump of snow in Gon's direction.

And as if that was some sort of signal, he's moving forward, running across the snow and taking advantage of the ice beneath to slide, spinning around, his leg coming out to sweep Gon's feet.

"Of course I won't be a sore loser!" Watching Killua's nen aura is exciting because he's clearly become a lot stronger, and Gon can't wait to find out how strong. "Because I'm not going to lose!"

He knew Killua would do something like this, knows his friend's priority is to get him to slip and fall as much as possible, so he's prepared when Killua kicks his leg out to try to trip him, focusing just enough nen in his legs to leap - up and over. He reaches out with a hand to grab Killua's shoulder and use it as an anchor for his mid-air spin, aiming for a direct, solid landing with the ground behind him.

Killua reacts immediately to the touch, almost too fast even with his quick reflexes, spreading his feet apart in the snow for balance and turning to punch just where he knows Gon will land. He's going for his stomach, below his ribs to avoid breaking anything, and still only half his strength. This is just warming up, after all.

And then he's jumping back before he's even had time to register whether the punch connected, landing easily on the snow and darting sideways, watching Gon's movements the whole time.
