The door, for its part, made a slight, startled sound at the demanding knock. It was entirely unused to people being demanding at it. "I beg your pardon!" it said in a voice that managed to be slightly huffy, despite being programmed to be cheeful and polite.
Before things had a chance to get worse, however, the door slid open, and there Polly stood. It took her a moment to realize she wasn't looking for an adult-size visitor, but when she finally thought to look down, both eyebrows shot up, and she blinked at Remilia with shock. Half moving behind the door, she peeked down at the vampire warily.
"I-I'm sorry."
She wasn't actually sure of what she was apologizing for, but she couldn't help having the distinct urge to, every time she saw Remi.
What was she doing? This didn't make any sense. Yet here Remilia was, demanding to be let in. All for what? An attempt to be civil? Not civil in the sense that the vampire wasn't immediately leaping for the eternal's throat, but an honest, true attempt at civility? Remilia still could spare no soft feelings for the other, but the mood struck her to attempt it, in a way.
Automatically, Polly stepped back at the reply, only realizing after the fact that she was letting the one person left on the Thor would really had cause to harm her through her door. Kiriko would probably be very unhappy about this... And suddenly she was hoping against all hope that he didn't drop by for a surprise visit, today.
On the other hand, she wasn't being attacked yet. She might as well be polite...
The small vampire strode inside as soon as Polly gave way. Perhaps there was hope for this, after all; the Eternal offered tea, like any sensible being. Remilia was just as guarded and her tone just as demanding, but her voice lost the slightest edge at the offer, although whether or not she was aware of this was unclear. Nonetheless, it was an audible-if easily overlooked-something.
