Who: magnetiferous and YOU! What: Erik is dabbling in the art of hedge trimming this month. COME BOTHER HIM! When: Nnnnnow. Where: In a garden-like area on the ship. Warnings: None.
[Xigbar, for his part, had pretty much just been wandering without any real goal in mind. But he stops when he sees the hedge in question. It's something of moderate interest, after all.]
[Though he would not admit it aloud, Erik takes a very small amount of pride in the fact that this deer-hedge is of enough interest for people to stop and question it, if even temporarily.]
Better than perfectly trimmed square hedges, wouldn't you think? At least more interesting.
Your words sting so. [It is said flippantly, so it's obvious that no, they don't.] If anything, it proved to be a distraction. Something to quell my boredom temporarily.
[Today Erik has trimmed a hedge right next to a little plot of garden that Shiemi has more or less taken over for her own. So when she gets off work and heads to her garden to do a little weeding, she quickly notices the change.]
Oh, wow! How pretty!
[she gets all up and personal with the hedge, stroking its leaves as if it were an animal rather than a plant and patting it on its head]
It almost looks like it would start moving any second.
[Honestly, Erik did not expect that kind of reaction. Perhaps he should think about a career change? From pro-mutant... "activist" to artistic hedge-trimmer.]
I'm glad you enjoy it. [rofl I'm sure many would support this career change.] To be honest, I had seen someone else do something similar, and so I suppose you could say I took inspiration from that. If you take the time to walk around the gardens, you'll see various other shapes.
[Vic was doing his usual thing of wandering and the occasional trolling when he spots Erik, sitting and staring at the hedges like an art critic would at a museum.]

That is one word for it, I suppose.

Looks nice, dude. Reminds me of something you'd see in, like, Central Park. [Not that he hadn't had the chance to actually go that one time...]

I'm glad you like it. Perhaps I should start considering a change of profession?
