Who: thepurpleway & electivires What: The elevators have gone on strike! And these two are stuck. When: Nov 3rd Where: In an elevator! Warnings: ...panicking?
Volkner didn't take the elevators that often - only when he was feeling particularly lethargic and unmotivated - but for some reason or other, he did today. And of course it would be the day that the elevator suddenly stops with a rather abrupt jolt for no apparent reason.
He counts down from sixty in his head before he decides, okay, this is clearly not going to fix itself and turns to the elevator's other occupant. "This isn't something that happens often on the elevators, does it?" he asks, though from his tone he's expecting the answer to be the one he doesn't want.
Don't worry, I'm slow, too. :|thepurplewayNovember 9 2011, 03:43:05 UTC
The jolt from the elevator abruptly stopping startled Gakupo, and he looked around in concern. There was a moment where he was very confused and tentatively pushed a button.
Nothing happened.
He looked to the other occupant when the question was asked. "Ah, I'm not sure. I haven't been on this ship long..."
Gakupo looked around again with intent, and his eyes focused on a camera in the corner. "...um...Miss Elevator--"
"It's Luna!"
"...my apologies. Miss Luna, what seems to be the problem?"
Yes, Gakupo was talking to the elevator.
"I'm on strike! That's what! You lazy lifeforms using us good, hardworking elevators without so much as a thank you!"
"... It's not going to help at all if we say thank you now, is it?"
The silence from the elevator was enough of an answer in itself. Stifling an urge to sigh and roll his eyes, he instead addressed Gakupo: "So, looks like we're going to be stuck here for a while." A pause. "I hope you didn't have anywhere you needed to be."
He didn't think the elevator liked being talked to like that.
Gakupo looked a bit uneasy at the inquiry. "I may be a bit late to work, if I'm lucky..." And he was hoping to make a good impression, too. "I just started it this week, and already there are difficulties."
