[Lien's dressed casually as usual, but has tied up her hair and put on her fake glasses. Because she's weird like that. She's rushing a bit trying to wash all the veggies and start up a pot of boiling water to make the hot and sour broth, but she heard the door calling out to tell her Hakkai had arrived]

Waugh! I'm not completely-- Oh, never mind, come on in!

[He hears Lien call from inside just before the door opens, and enters politely, looking around curiously for his hostess]

Ah...I'm sorry, am I too early?

[lotusrebel]

[She leans to look out from the kitchen shaking her head]

Evening! And, no I'd say you're fine, I'm just rushing!

[congenialsinner]

Ah, good.

[He pauses long enough to remove his shoes and arrange them neatly out of the way by the door, and then crosses the living area to join her in the kitchen]

There's really no need to rush, though.
