He's gonna regret this. He's really gonna regret this. He spends MOST OF HIS TIME trying to weasel out of shopping with Yumichika, but he's not gonna go out of his way to avoid his best friend when he sees him, okay. Ikkaku scoops up one of the bags, then opens it up to look inside.
There's a look of annoyance. "You should be helping me carry all these things back home, Ikkaku. There's so much we still need to buy!" He takes the bag back. "What happened to your engagement, anyway?"
"Got boring, so I took off." And now he's starting to sort through the rest of the bags, righting the one that got knocked over, and then swinging a couple of them over his shoulder.
"We? When did this turn into we? I could just bring these back an' meet you when you're done with the next batch."
"I guess that works, but then you'll have no input on the furniture." That's half a lie, mostly because even if he does participate, he won't have any say on the furniture.
Une's immediate response is to sink to her knees and try to get as much back into the bag as she can.
"Begging your pardon, sir. Didn't see you there."
Time off was more stressful than work. Mr. Wayne has advised her to try new things rather than sink back into the usual during this short leave. But how exactly did one define new? Better the devil you know. Damn, she missed her desk. Less of a chance for this sort of gracelessness.

"A little generosity won't hurt," she says with a small smile. "Share blame."
