Not being the sort who can sit still in one place for too long, Mordin had left his room quite a bit early in the day to wander the ship, hoping to familiarize himself with it a bit more before meeting Wesker. The human (lol) scientist had been kind enough to offer to show Mordin around the laboratories during their first discussion, and he was eager poke around in it.

Mordin managed to make his way towards Wesker's place of employment, according to the guide's map. Waiting around for a little while wouldn't hurt, he busied himself with pacing around and studying his guide in the meantime.

Not very far off in the distance, Wesker could spot the outline of a familiar individual he had spoken with not too long ago. He was the one who wanted to be shown the interior of the labs, and Wesker had conceded. Convenient enough, he thought to himself idly as he moved in the direction of the alien scientist.

"We spoke not too long ago," he said abruptly, his own form of greeting. "Mordin, was it?"

Mordin ceased his pacing, tucking his guide away and turning to Wesker. He wondered for a moment why one would need to wear sunglasses in a space ship, but quickly dismissed the thought. Must be a human thing.

"Yes, correct. Apologies if timing is inconvenient. Had free time, decided to make the best of it."

Not so much a human thing, but more specifically a Wesker thing. Not that Mordin knew this at the moment, per se, but it probably didn't take one long to eventually figure this out. For now, he had the pleasure of dealing with the anomaly of the scientist who enjoyed wearing his sunglasses both indoors and in the dead of night.

"Hardly inconvenient at all; in fact, I was on my way to the labs just now. If you're inclined to follow, I don't mind showing you the way."

The opera was nearly wrapped, but still, still the director insisted on one more meeting. So, by the time Irene leaves the theatre it was rather later than usual.

Ah, but she would make the best of the quieter streets. Idly she hummed a song to herself (not one of the ones from the show) as she walked.
Yet as idle as her song was, her senses were not. The Thor is safe enough, but it is a large ship, and things still happened in the night.

Leaving the higher-end district the streets started to have more people, but it wasn't really saying much. Irene looked over the handful of people-

The blonde man in black got a second glance, and not just for the presence he gave off or his wearing sunglasses at night. ...She believes she's seen him before.

Wesker's senses tended to pick up any minute sound or sensation, or at least more so than what normal people would notice. He heard someone humming not far in the distance, and turned to see where it was coming from.

He spotted a familiar face from before; the woman who danced with the man who performed terribly on stage, to save a few shreds left of his pride. Though he almost smirked to himself thinking how questionable her success might have been in that respect.

He stepped forward in her direction.

"Did you enjoy your dance at the dinner theatre?" he asked, without much introduction.

Yes, it was certainly the announcer from that dance theatre - the voice leaves no doubt. Smiling at his question, she refrained from rolling her eyes.

"Oh, I think 'enjoy' is not quite the word for it, but it was certainly amusing in its own way."

He stopped advancing once he reached a comfortable distance, looking over the woman for a brief second before continuing.

"Amusing? Yes, I could think of a very specific way in which it was amusing," he quipped in his trademark dark tone, and it was obvious he was referring to the ridiculous sight of the dance in general.

"You looked to be fairly comfortable on the stage, however. Are you settled into the business?"

Everything is better with random cats cat_proximity July 20 2011, 20:37:44 UTC
Stray animals were probably not an uncommon sight in cities, even in space. Chen was naturally inclined to be awake at night anyway, being a cat.

...of sorts. She did have two tails, rather than one; the tips white trailing behind her idly as she walked. Otherwise, a completely normal black cat. Walking along in the opposite direction in the middle of the sidewalk quite like a person, with a decidedly un-feline intelligence in her eyes.

She perked her head up a bit as this next person neared, trilling a bit in greeting.

"Hello!"

Always had to be polite, yes. Master said so.

Wesker's ears caught the clear greeting, though for a fleeting moment his eyes didn't know where to look. There was no one else in the vicinity and his senses rarely failed him or tricked him; another quick glance along the street revealed a black cat looking at him, its eyes glittering with intelligence not seen in most (if not all) felines.

Wesker spoke in return, in an almost experimental fashion, as this was a new situation for him. Not completely unusual, given the nature of the Thor, but definitely new.

"Hello," he said to the cat.

Oh, how refreshing! Someone who seemed used to this kind of thing!

...or so Chen thought, anyway. Despite her older feline appearance, she was still a kitten at heart. And mind. But this confidence was encouraging!

Without hesitation, the cat rubbed up against his leg, trilling again.

"Are you looking for someone?"

The sight of a cat rubbing against Wesker's leg was an unusual one, no matter where you came from or what you were used to seeing. Nonetheless, the scientist hardly looked disturbed at this fact. Instead, he crouched down to inspect the cat at a better angle, though this did little for his overall intimidating form.

"No, I'm simply on my way somewhere. Are you lost?"

This one spots himself an Albert Wesker as he is out for the evening. He always did enjoy strolling through the park, severing the black roses from their stems. In fact, he held a handful of them here. They were quite lovely...

Mind you, his curiosity had been piqued. It hadn't been too long since they had last spoken, and Vincent found this man... quite intriguing. So, with an innocent little smile, he steps over, giving the man a small wave.

"My, my~ Out late, aren't you?"

Wesker caught sight of the man calling out to him, and he offered him a faint grin that may or may not have been visible in the dark light. He made his way closer, as this was an individual he did not mind making time for, for the sake of idle conversation.

"I am. Though I do make a habit of it," he replied, while noting the roses the other man held. "And it looks as if you're out smelling the roses, as it were."

Vincent chuckles, holding one up as if to be examined and studied. He twirls it about playfully, simply holding it out for Wesker. His expression is a mix of amused and... an almost too obvious curiosity.

"Encountering one of many idiots that inhabit this vessel tends to happen far too much during the day for me to feel comfortable."

He smirks as he glances from side to side, the two men being the only ones about for quite some distance.

"Where were you off to this evening, Sir Wesker."

Wesker takes the rose, looking it over in his hand with some detached curiosity, before returning his glance to Vincent.

"That may be true," he responds, in what might be translated as a vague agreement. "Though not many feel comfortable traversing the ship so late."

"To one of the laboratories. I have work I'd like to finish."
