Well, he had pretty much just finished cleaning up when the knocking rang clear through the room. At the sound, the lion lifts it's head, looking over curiously, and perhaps a little defensively. The magician smiles and makes a small motion with his hand, as if to say 'down boy', before stepping over to the door.

"Ah, there you are."

He smiles warmly to Alice, knowing well enough she would not return such a smile. Regardless, she was enjoyable to speak with. So, he steps aside, allowing her to enter freely.

"How have you been, Alice?"

It's good that Fai doesn't expect much from her, because he isn't going to get much in the way of manners or politeness. Decades of living alone will do that to a person.

"I am fine. Here, brew this."

Alice hands off the tea leaves as walks inside. Two dolls follow behind her, but no more. That was enough to both show off her abilities and observe the flying lion Fai had managed to tame.

He blinks a little when shands him the tea... but, smiles warmly afterward. Turning to follow, he place a hand upon Alice's shoulder kindly as he steps by.

"Thank you for the tea, Alice. I'll make it now."

He'll wander to the kitchen and begin brewing it. His voice will call out--

"Make yourself at home. Ah! And be sure not to make any sudden movements. That big fellow tends to swing at things that catch him off guard."

Alice's whole body freezes on contact at Fai's touch. It isn't even meant to be an affectionate touch, only friendly, and Alice knows that. But still, the only person in decades that she had ever been that close to was Marisa. She isn't used to it, it makes her uncomfortable.

Though she won't voice her concerns because to her it's hardly worth speaking up about. It didn't bother Alice enough to say something, or maybe it was that she wasn't even aware that it bothered her at all. Instead she'll approach the Lion, trying to judge if he will be hostile towards her or not.
