"Since this is a demonstration I would like you to be on the defense. This will allow for you to demonstrate what you understand about the system and allow me to see what kind of pattern you come up with. I hope you were listening to Patchouli's commentary."

She started to create a shield around them so as not to disturb or bring harm to anyone else. There was nothing fancy to it and it was very basic, but it would hold well enough and did not need to be maintained after the initial set up.

"Of course. A quick question before we start though. Will we be doing this in the air, or on the ground?"

He had seen most of their duels take place in the air. He had a spell for flying, but he was far more attuned to land based combat. He could easily adapt, but his first opponent in danmaku was the Yama, Shiki Eiki. He had his doubts...

"Well, if it suits you, I'd like to try it on the ground first. Until I get comfortable with it."

He gives her a small smile before stepping away. Distance would be important for this. Well, initially. He doubted close combat had any place in such duels.

"Once we've finished, I'd like to discuss making a spell card with you. I've a few ideas, but I imagine your insight would help me greatly."
