How long had it been? 'Too long' was certain. Whether it was circumstance or planetary conditions, Remilia hadn't seen the full moon in months. Too many months. Perhaps it had been her imagination, or being far more eager than she should have been, the vampire swore she felt the full moon's call, even from Thor. Remilia hadn't bothered telling anyone of the sudden impulse, and slipped onto a shuttle shortly after dusk.

She went to greet it. It was not Earth's moon. It was not her crimson moon. Nonetheless, it was a moon. It even felt a little... alien (that was the word), but such was to be expected. The familiar, thrilling pulse of lunacy gripped her not long after she took wing to the sky. Now, it was nothing but a dance. The vampire soared through the sky in sweeps, spirals, loops, and dives, simply basking in the full moon's presence and energy. Playing, really.

Looks like it's going to be a fun night.

She did not blink. Not once. How long had it been since she had seen a moon? It was a rare enough sight for her, having been in a windowless basement for so long... but, to be out in the open... to see the moon, smell the air... this sensation was exhilarating. Those unwavering crimson eyes began to glow faintly as they watched that brilliant orb in the sky. She wanted to do something... she wanted to... Play was not the right word. It was something wilder... more feral...

Was this the urge to hunt?

Remilia did not notice her sister. The elder vampire might as well have been in her own little world. The night, the sky, the excitement was all too enthralling. She missed the moon so dearly... This was her element. She was a lord of the night. This is how it was supposed to be.

She slowed her upward ascent, hanging in the air for a moment... then Remilia began to tilt backwards, wings outstretched, and dived. The speed and sensation of freefall never failed to entertain her.

Flandre only noticed her sister in the corner of her eye. She, for the first time in... ever, had no interest in what her sister was doing. Without her knowledge, Flandre found herself hovering before the moon, staring deeply into it. She felt... powerful... godly even. Why? Her wings flared outward, the crystal glowing brightly. She just smiles widely, her fang glinting in the pale moon's light.

She could get used to this...

Some could call it home indeed. One in particular. It was not the same as Earth's-- her moon, but it was a moon. A genuine moon. Were Eirin there to join her, this would be the most perfect moment since her arrival... in fact, company right now would be quite lovely. She felt that if she continued to watch it... sitting alone... she may begin to cry. It reminded her of what she lost. Not the lunarian empire... No. She could careless about it. But, Eientei, Eirin, Tewi. She had Reisen. Thank all the gods she was granted Reisen...

She loved this moon... yet cursed herself for being so drawn to it.

Of course Reisen wanted to find the Princess when it was a night like tonight. Normally she'd be ordering others to pound mochi but obviously, that wasn't going to happen. With no duties like that, she was free to do the thing she wanted most at the moment, which was accompany her owner. She quietly drew up behind Kaguya and stood her ground. Reisen had no wish to interrupt her and if the Princess wanted her, she could ask.

At first, Kaguya did not notice Reisen at all. She had been so engrossed in the moon. How many nights had she sat with Eirin, just watching that silvery giant in the sky. They would sit for hours just watching silently... or find themselves deep in a hushed discussion. How nostalgic...

And then Kaguya felt her pet behind her. She had remained several steps back... respectfully leaving Kaguya to her thoughts. A smile. How kind of her...

"Reisen. Come here."

"Yes, Princess."

The rabbit took a couple of steps forward to stand by Kaguya. With a warm smile, she looked down at the princess. As it was, Reisen wanted to make sure she felt comfortable since this was probably a little emotional for her. It was for Reisen in a way, but she certainly didn't have the same ties that Kaguya had to the moon.

Self seclusion was almost too hard to keep up with the amount of faces on the Thor. Every corner he turned someone was looking at him, someone wanted to talk; everyone was so loud. Nobody really listened. On the planet things seemed more peaceful.

It left him looking up at a moon that wasn't his, on a planet he'd never heard of before, praying to Gods that seemed not to be able to hear him any longer. Was he too far away from home? Shouldn't they have existed far across the seas of time and space? Or was it that he was no longer in their favor? Dodging death and the things that he'd done since....

He stood still underneath the pale glow of the moon, crimson eyes reflecting the orb in the sky. And still there was no peace.

The little Scarlet had followed her sister down to the planet, wanting to see a moon outside. It was something she had forgotten... something she had not experienced in centuries. But, she would not know this. Her perception of time was never the best.

She had been floating about the planet, her eyes hungrily watching the moon from all angles. She loved it... it was something alien and yet so compelling. She wanted more. And yet, it brought out a side of her she, nor anyone else, had ever seen before.

She catches a familiar scent on the air... she knew it well. It was the scent of a man. A man who treated her like a queen. A man who touched her gently, promising always to keep her safe. A man... whose blood was quite tasty indeed.

Where, oh where, could Atem be~?

There was something to be said about how dangerous being inside his own mind was at times. He often did get lost; in a more physical sense his mind was an entire labyrinth of puzzles and traps. Right now he was just thinking very loudly, very quickly.

Yet he did have a very innate sense for danger, or at least to know when something was coming. The strange feeling in the back of his mind snapped his eyes back to life as he looked around.

Maybe it was just his imagination.

Such a keen insight. Moments after he opened his eyes, Flandre hovers slowly downward until she is floating before Atem. She simply watches this man, her eyes unwavering and glowing an unearthly crimson. He seemed... contemplative... But, she did not care. She found him here. It must have been some stroke of good fortune~

"Atem."

[She's grateful that they can go to the planet so often, the Thor isn't bad, but she would go crazy if she had to stay there the whole time. Still, normally at night she would stay there. Normally.

A full moon isn't a normal night. It has been ages since she was able to look at the moon, specially a full moon without feeling fear. Without having to worry about if Goku or Gohan would see it, about if they would turn into monsters or not. Vegeta is there but he has no tail anymore so it's okay, right? This is a harmless moon, one she can observe without having it exploding in pieces suddenly like that night years ago. No one knew what happened, but it wasn't the first time it happened and Bulma could easily guess that it had been related to Gohan. What other reason would there be for the moon to be destroyed without anything else happening to the Earth ( ... )

[No, a full moon most certainly isn't normal. It's a rare thing, and even given that he's used to crossing into new worlds it seems that fewer worlds here have moons than he'd like. Finding a full one, is something of miracle, then.

It's really only the last dregs of curiosity that get him coming out to where she is, quiet but for the sound of footfalls.]

[Curiosity is a very basic instinct after all and one that can drive one really far if they let it take control of the ride. Bulma's curious too, even if the moon isn't unlike the one she remembers from Earth, her mind drifts and she comes to wonder how it was in Vegeta's planet. How it is possible for it to transform a human-sized being into a primitive monster.

No matter how much she stares at it, trying to not to blink, just as she saw Goku doing before he became a monster, it stirs nothing in her. No power, no magic, just endless curiosity and maybe a bit of loneliness on being admiring such a beautiful sight alone. But she's mostly curious.

And it's curiosity again what makes her turn her head upon noticing the footfalls.]

[The blue hair probably isn't out of the ordinary for her. But there's something strange about him all the same. It might be his coat, or maybe just something inherent to what he is. A reflection of the world not having a proper category to stick him.

Or it might be the way the moon is almost reflected in his eyes, makes him look more than a little feral.]

What a nice night it was. Perfect for a stroll.

She had traveled down to the planet to see the sights, but the full moon was a welcome addition too. How often did she stop to look at it, anyway? Years and years ago, all that there was when she gazed up was a whole lot of darkness - and even if you went past all of that, there was hardly anything interesting to see besides some stalactites, maybe.

Traveling up to visit Gensokyo back then was one of her better decisions, she thought. The big, open sky was something a youkai like her would've never seen otherwise.

... well, stopping to stare at it for a bit wouldn't hurt.

A familiar scent... a familiar presence. Flandre had been gliding, flying freely beneath the moon's light. Something she had perhaps once in her life experienced. Everything else was through a window... or in a picture book.

So, to be able to be with the moon, in the wide empty sky... it was ecstasy. Mind you, visiting one she was fond of did not hurt the experience. When she saw that familiar outline, Flandre chuckled softly to herself and dropped from the sky, coming to hover before Koishi. She would notice a change in the little vampire. Something the moon had done to her...

"Koishi... How lovely to see you this evening."

It was easy enough for Koishi to get lost in her thoughts, with or without the beautiful night to watch in front of her. Though soon enough, she noticed something flying around above her head. A blink. What was it?

Ah, who was it, now that she had a closer look. There was a face that she could definitely remember. The vampire seemed a little different from the last time she saw her... for one thing, she would've expected to be tackled to the ground first. Nevertheless, company was always welcome. "Good to see you too, Flandre. It's nice out tonight, isn't it?"

be_my_toy May 27 2011, 08:50:22 UTC
"It is."

And Flandre lands before Koishi, taking the girls hands into her own. Koishi was one of the few that Flandre truly enjoyed seeing. Others were simply playthings, but Koishi was a playmate and a friend. So, to see her beneath the moonlight was truly a treat indeed.

"I did not expect to see you here~"
