That wasn't a good sound. Estelle quickly rushed over, flailing slightly as she stuttered, "P-Please, a little l-less!" Estelle wasted no time in stopping her, as she pressed her hands on the dough (and subsequently on Shana's hands).

"Here, let me show you!"

The dough had suffered a few casualties, Estelle never thought she would ever have to -heal- a piece of food again. She had a few accidents when she cooked herself, but it was never anything like this. She quickly spread a bit of flour on the table, her hands worked swiftly and quickly to shape the dough back to a tender shape. "We are going to eat this, so try to treat it with respect!"

Respect. Yes. All food deserved love and respect, a good chef knew. At least, that's what this book had told Estelle. Food needs to be treated with tender, kind love in order to be delicious. Your effort as a chef and your passion in cooking shows through your meal... or so Elzar, the book's author, had spoken in his foreword.

Shana threw out a sigh to her left as Estelle came rushing over to save the day and show her how it was done. Shana could never get this right. She had been alive for who knows how long now, and not once has she cooked something properly.

"Stupid bread." Shana said in retaliation to the failed form she saw become cured by Estelle's efforts. But it was true, they were going to eat it, and so it had to be done right.

"How much longer is this gonna take?" Shana asked in a sneery voice as she crossed her arms. She was getting annoyed by the tedious work this required, only if she had been there for a few minutes.

Estelle placed a gentle hand on Shana's shoulder, "It'll be alright. You didn't harm it." She looked over the ingredients, adding the butter to the dough now and incorporating a few last kneads before letting the dough sit and rest. This was going to be the hard part for Shana, Estelle thought as she walked over to rinse her hands.

"Now, we have to..." Wait. The word was wait. "... The pastry layer. We have to add the flavoring to the bread now!" Smooth catch there, Estelle. She ushered Shana over to the other set of ingredients, this was where the lemon extract would be added, as well as the remaining sweet ingredients. Truth be told, a melon pan was an interesting concoction. While there was bread in the middle, the real magic happened on the outer crust! They could form star shapes on it, teddy bears, as long as they had an appropriate cookie cutter, they could make anything!

"We're going to add the eggs to this mixture here. Could you get the wooden spoon for me, please?"

Shana didn't say anything, she just simply stood there looking at the bread as Estelle fixed it right up. She wondered to herself how Estelle came to be so skillful in this area.

When she mentioned the flavoring that needed to be added, instantly, Shana figured that they needed to incorporate a melon into the bread somehow. She looked around for one, but didn't see anything right away. As she was asked for the spoon, Shana quickly responded: "What about the melons? Where are the melons?" Without so much as looking for a spoon, Shana started opening all the drawers at a fast pace, moving things out of order looking for the melon she assumed needed to be used.

Estelle sighed. She kept her hopes up for Shana, even if the young girl was a bit one-track minded she truly did mean good in the end. After wiping her hands, the young princess smiled. "M-Melons don't necessarily need to be added to Melon Pan," Estelle spoke nervously, as she was unsure of what the outcome of this revelation would be. "I-I mean, if you want... we can add a bit of extract!"

She still needed that darn spoon though.
