[One distinct advantage of being a passenger of the Thor is that there is always something new to experience. Today, that something is a 'film'. A little research had yielded the revelation that it would be something like a play. However other than the fact that it would be outdoors in the park John had played any other details about their proposed date rather close to the chest. Much to her mixed amusement and chagrin.

So it is with a generous degree of anticipation that she awaits him at the park, surveying the gathering as she waits. The atmosphere is clearly fair-like, and she is most curious about the white sheet. A make-shift curtain? Yet she does not see any players in evidence.
...Well, no sense in pondering too much over something that would become clear on its own shortly.]

[John had arrived a little early, so he saw Irene as soon as she entered the park. He walked over to her, carrying a small bag over his shoulder.

Thankfully his injuries from the mission on the Sigrun had been fairly minor and were mostly healed. Otherwise sitting on the ground for a few hours might have been uncomfortable.
