[Sasuke had noticed Hiei's presence quite early on, but he'd decided to wait and see if Hiei would show himself first. He'd still led them to a far less populated place-- after all, he wanted this fight as much as Hiei did. But just because he wanted to fight the youkai didn't mean he couldn't aggravate him]

[Sasuke smirks confidently at him as he stops, looking completely unruffled]

[Sasuke unsheaths his own sword to parry, his Sharingan already activated; he'll need it to track Hiei's movements. He uses his other hand to try and stab Hiei with the Chidori blade, making full use of his ambidexterity as usual]

[The Jagan pulses behind Hiei's bandanna, open and seeing. As their swords clash and ricochet off each other, Hiei quickly flits just shy of the Chidori, it catching the edge of his cape. He abandons said cape, flipping it off towards Sasuke and landing to the side to recover.]
