Or maybe he was there all along.

He does that sometimes, but either way, he is now just sort of there, sitting on the end of the bed, popping grapes into his mouth, looking fabulous in his rainbow mask. The purple masked Papi is nowhere to be seen which isn't the same as saying he isn't there.]

[Xion was overjoyed that Maka had returned. she knew she would! still... those things she'd said, when she'd been under the impression she was still on her world. what had happened for her to have said those things?]

[having a feeling (ha ha) that probably wasn't the best thing to talk about first thing, Xion shook her head and tried to get out of that mindset. what mattered now is that Maka was back safe and sound, and her recovery was the priority.]

[she stops outside the room, and calls out to her friend.]

Maka? It's Xion.

[Oh, my. Yet another visitor! The door opens on its own and inside, Xion can peek inside. There she will see Maka sitting on her bed, in the middle of reading when she glances up at her friend. The Meister smiles and gives her a friendly wave.]

Hey, Xion. Come on in.

[she steps into the room, taking a moment to look around. it looks pretty nice... she walks over to Maka's side, a soft smile on her face.]

You look like you've been through quite a lot. I'm sorry that took so long, the place I went to couldn't seem to make their sandwiches right so I had to take matters into my own hands.

[He slowly walks over, pulling up a chair to sit near the side of her bed.]

[After a long moment of silence, he has to say something, even if she won't hear him.]

[If she could respond to that, she would. But let's skip time some shall we? Let's say about an hour or so, Maka starts stirring in her sleep. Finally, she wakes up -- looking at the ceiling and then around the room. Confused where she is.]

[It did occur to Botan that Maka was either asleep or in a great deal of pain, so she should have been careful about how loud her knocking was. Still, it felt really great to be visiting someone that was alive in a hospital.]

[The door opens on its own. So many visitors! It's starting to get annoying opening and closing! That's would any old door would say. But this door is polite and such so it says nothing!!! Anyway, Botan will see Maka fiddling with her guide for a few minutes and then glances over at her with a smile.]
