The word "date" hadn't yet registered in Asch's mind. In the Order of Lorelei, when someone requested your presence without specifying a time, they normally meant "right now". And how did the saying go? "Never keep a lady waiting." Asch's track record in regards to the latter left much to be desired, but since it was Natalia asking, he had agreed on reflex. Since it was Natalia asking directly, he had headed out immediately with little more than a sideways glance in the mirror to make sure his hair wasn't sticking out all over the place and his clothes weren't wrinkled ( ... )

"Door, please let him in." Natalia didn't ask who it was or turn away from the mirror. If she couldn't wear something new, she'd at least make sure her hair looked all right. This had to be perfect; she wouldn't settle for anything less.

It took a few minutes before she was satisfied enough with her appearance that she was willing to leave her bedroom. It might be a little rude to keep him waiting, but surely he knew that these things took time. It wasn't as though he hadn't been taught that appearances mattered, too.

One final glance back, then she headed for the door, already smiling as it opened. "I'm sorry to keep you waiting."

Asch was unsurprised when Natalia failed to meet him at the door. Whenever nobility were involved, it meant they'd see you when they were ready to - it didn't allow for a lack of punctuality on your part. Since Asch was here already, he didn't concern himself. Natalia would see him when she was finished doing whatever it was women did. Grooming, he suspected ( ... )

Gah, why did I not get a notif for this? T_T aerial_laser August 2 2010, 01:47:53 UTC
She paused for just a moment, looking at him, then blushed at her thoughts. Since when did she even think things like that? It must be the fault of that stupid class. Oh, she knew she should never have taken it.

"It's good to see you," she said, softer now. That was absolutely true and not nearly so awkward as saying he looked good or anything like that. Really, he didn't look much different than he normally did; she had no idea why she was reacting like this.

She was still blushing, but she forced herself not to look away as she walked closer. "I haven't been there in a long time. Do you remember the way?"
