Amaterasu's ears flick and she turns, her eyes falling on Fai. She barely notices the little black puppy bound into her leg and then look up at her, confused. Fai had adopted a child and said she was 'Mommy'. So... he was... 'Daddy'? Her face flares and she walks over, sitting down next to him. The little puppy is quick to climb into her lap.

"Is it really alright for us to do this? I mean we..."

She trails, uncertain. This was so confusing. Could they be a family?

"Of course it's fine~!"

He smiled softly, reaching out to scratch behind the little puppy's ear. He had grown quite fond of the little guy, and he'd only met him just recently. Fai kept his eyes on Amaterasu though. She seemed genuinely concerned, if not utterly confused by what he had done. Well, it was only natural. She was a Goddess after all.

"Honestly, I did it out of reflex. I saw a child who seemed lost, and thought only to take care of him. I simply thought you would like to help me."

The little puppy, Hayabusa, wags his tail and leans against Fai's hand, almost rolling off of Amaterasu's lap.

"Of course I don't mind helping...

When it comes to children, she never minds taking care of them. Problems only rose when they were possessed or doing something evil on their own free will. Some could be saved, but others would be lost. Also... well...

"I... never had someone help me care for a child."

"Really~?"

He smiles a little, moving to scratch beneath the puppy's chin now.

"I've always had Big Puppy, so I didn't find it odd at all."

And there goes Hayabusa rolling off her lap. She picks him up, cuddling him against her chest. She gives Fai a rather confused look again.

"... Who's Big Puppy?"
