[The sun is in the midst of setting - the overhead sky is already black and dotted with stars, though the western horizon still burns bright orange over the deepening purple sea. The water is calm and cool, the waves lapping gently at the shore under the influence of a gentle, warm breeze. An enormous ring of tiki torches has been set up on the sand above the high-tide line, and lines of them extend up and down the beach, to guide interested parties to the center of the festivities.
In the center of the circle are several bonfires, over which various fishy delicacies are being roasted by participating locals. Long tables have been set up along the side of the ring furthest from the beaches, where even more volunteering locals are serving various traditional dishes and beverages - most of them crab-, coconut-, and banana-based. If you're looking for liquor, a bar has been set up just beyond the circle of torches, complete with grass roof, paper lanterns, and friendly bartender. The drinks - both alcoholic and non - rely heavily on coconut and banana ingredients as well. Go on, try something! It's all delicious!
Lastly, local musicians are set up near one of the bonfires, playing traditional music on traditional instruments for traditional thematic background purposes. Please don't bother them, they're busy. ♥]
