Finally off of my iPod, busy day! willhavewings May 30 2010, 20:09:54 UTC
Moe had been striding through the area in human form, complete with stupid bowl cut hair and a very cheap suit, when he spotted Ed. The homunculi had been ordered to run away if they encountered an alchemist, and the blonde had been one of the pictures Moe had been shown...

But Moe wasn't one to do anything except what HE thought was the best course of action. Blinking a few times, he formulated a plan, that went as follows. Fight Ed. Kill Ed. Be praised as the homunculus that had killed an alchemist. Be promoted to the top dog.

Simple! No time to waste either! With a noise akin to 'RUNGHLE' the cockroach body seemed to simply grow out of his flesh, his clothes just disappearing but not tearing. And with that, Moe had no further plan but to swing a giant metal arm through the air at the base of Ed's spine, knocking aside a few aliens in the process.

Had Ed not been acutely paying attention to his surroundings, Moe might have had half a chance of sneaking up on... actually, no, with his approach, Moe had no chance of sneaking up on Ed. While a random growl of a homunculus about to attack is hard to distinguish from general alien chatter, the sound of a crowd getting nervous is the same no matter what world you're from.

Spinning around in time to see the metal arm swinging his way, Ed jumped back. It would just be his luck to run into one of the weird metal chimerahomuncuwhazzits right now. As the crowd started to scatter, Ed immediately shed his beloved red coat. Badass it was, but he'd noticed over the last couple of days that it hampered him too much in his current state.

"I was wondering when I'd meet one you things," Ed said as he clapped his hands together and transmuted his automail blade.

We need to do a Chouno/Ed thing after this too, for the lulz. willhavewings May 30 2010, 20:37:39 UTC
"And I was wondering when I'd-"
Moe had no idea how to finish that sentence. He stupidly stared and blinked at Ed for a few seconds, before finishing with-
"Your coat is stupid."

Looking distinctly proud of himself for that zinger, the homunculus shot out one arm towards the blade itself-Moe had discovered through experience that once something is stabbed into him, he had a fair amount of control over where it went.

LOL yes we will steelalchemy May 30 2010, 21:44:39 UTC
Ed ignored the jab at his coat. There were more important matters at hand than the honour of his badass coat, like taking down... whatever this thing was.

Sparring with Al had probably been the best preparation for this. He was just trading one large metal opponent for another, though... Al didn't want him dead, as this thing obviously did.

Parrying the arm with his blade, Ed kept to the edges of the metal cockroach's reach, just observing for the moment, studying the way the bug moved and shifted its weight.

Moe wasn't about to allow his BRILLIANT plan of getting his arm stabbed so that Ed couldn't stab him just go past like that. In a similar manner to how an amateur swordsman would attack the sword and not the wielder, Moe unleashed a surprisingly fast and accurate flurry of attacks, barely a second apart from all sorts of angles. Each one aimed at getting his own legs impaled so that Ed would not have free control over his own arm.

"I meant to do that!"
What exactly he meant to do, who the hell knows.

Ed frowned slightly at the technique, but didn't allow himself much time to think about it. It took nearly all of his focus to keep up with the speed of the attacks. Normally he could just watch his opponent and let his body respond to the attacks, but because he couldn't tell where his body was in relation to itself, he had to watch both the cockroach's legs and his own limbs. After less than twenty seconds of this he switched from parrying the limbs away to trying to slice them off.
