[And here is Aoko, a bag of newspapers slung over her shoulder and a baseball cap that reads The Lightning Post on her head. It looks like she's busy finishing up her route.

And she just so happens to be one of the people Shin bumps into]

Ah? I'm sorry! [she adjusts the strap on her shoulder and bows as Shin]

I didn't mean to bump into you!

[He gives her a look of surprise, and then shakes his hands back and forth, waving off an apology.]

No no, it's all right. I'm just trying to find out where everything is right now.

[He chuckles at this, trying to sound lighthearted.]

[she taps her cheek with her index finger]

Do you need help? I think I've learned where most everything important on the ship is by now.

Kids will be Kids yea?

[Today, she's leading the kids she watches over at Day Care on a small field trip to see the dolphins, but things can get hectic quickly. Amaterasu is carrying a child on her back while the rest seem to scamper around her, not apologizing when they knock into some people.]

[Shin, you have just become an unfortunate victim of them.]

If you don't start behaving, we will not go to the pool. [She bows to Shin. The small, feathered kid on her back waves hello as she speaks] Please forgive me. They're easily excitable around Thor...

[Doof! Well, he'll just be chuckling as some of the kids knock into him, and waving right back at the one by Amaterasu. He smiles.]

Ah, no, it's fine! I'm just exploring, for now. I don't mind at all.

I'm glad you're not angry.

So, you're new then? How recently did you arrive?

Why would I be angry? They're just children. [He grins again, laughing a little.]

Well, I'm not terribly new- I arrived a little while ago and some people led me to my room already. So I'm getting used to the area a bit.

[he's spent most of his time not staying in once place, acquainting himself with the ship and trying to avoid familiar faces. However, looking over his shoulder a lot means he doesn't always watch where he's going.]

[as usual he has no patience for people, even if it's his own fault he collided with them.]

[Well, he's got the patience of a saint, luckily. He chuckles a little embarrassingly, rubbing the back of his head and looking a bit nervous.]

S-sorry! I'm new to the place, I didn't mean to bump into you.

[the retort is automatic; he doesn't really care about apologies. Besides, someone that acts like this can hardly be a threat. Still, Sync is annoyed he attracted any attention at all; the more people that remembered his face, the harder it would be to get around unnoticed.]

You might as well just find your room and stay out of everyone's way.

[of course, being nasty is just going to make him more memorable, but he's in a bad mood.]

But- don't you think this is interesting? I mean, to be on here.

[The fact that Sync is outwardly so blunt causes him to wince, but on the inside her interest in him only grows. Usually the ones who throw public outbursts or scowls towards everyone she likes investigating the most. Maybe it's because when she discovers what makes them tick, it only makes her plans for aiding them that much greater.]

And I've already found my room, but I'd rather explore for now. It's a lot more fun that way.

[ Genkaku's trips to the arrivals area are ... infrequent, at best. only twice really has he been there: when he himself arrived and to pick up Hibana. suffice it to say, he's not the most helpful sort of monk. ]

[ still, when he wanders by on a connecting walk with joint in mouth, something catches his attention. something that makes his fingers twitch towards the colt inside his sash. ]

[ ... but he can't place it. intuition? a warning from Kannon-Sama herself? ]

[ whatever it is, it makes him pause among the bustle of refugees and all their noise to glance around. ]

[Well, it won't be long before someone almost bumps into him, looking down at the map and nearly colliding with the monk. Shin twists at the last moment and does an odd spinaround, whirling on his feet and coming close to losing his balance.

Luckily, he catches himself and rights a few seconds later, apologizing.]

I'm sorry, sir! I was looking at my map and not where I was going, that's my fault!

[ derailed from his thoughts, he glances down at the smaller boy bumping into him. his skin's all shrill, muscles tight beneath his skin, the stitches all up and down his body curving as he turns to watch him do a rather impressive spin. ]

[ he isn't surprised. he's tense, people bounce. the closeness isn't something he fends off, welcomes, or even ... cares about. the grunt he snorts out of his nose is a puff of ash, pulling at all the stitches on his chest with the breath. ]

[The thing with psychic abilities-- sometimes they go off, and for reasons you're entirely not sure what. Especially in a place like this, wherein "Kamui"? Is not comfortable with just yet.
