Yes, Reyson wasn't at all surprised to when Tibarn came pounding at his door - he'd been mentally counting down the minutes. This darkness was definitely .. disconcerting ( birds like himself were quite vulnerable in the dark ), but Reyson was doing his very best not to be frightened; honestly, he was no nestling anymore! He'd lost his fear of the dark before his feathers had even grown in. And yet, he had never before been forced into a dark quite like this: black as pitch, a completely perfect blackness. Reyson convinced himself that it was more annoying than frightening.

This he proved to himself while smacking his shin against the low coffee table as he picked his way across his room towards the door; swearing ( daintily ) and muttering under his breath, Reyson was scowling by light of fireflies when he pressed the button to open the door.

"I'm here, I'm here! Calm down, Tibarn."

Tibarn tried to listen, tried to relax. Reyson was fine, so there wasn't anything to worry about. But he still hated the dark. You never knew what was in there. Tibarn wasn't afraid of being ambushed - he could take whatever dared to try it. But he was afraid for Reyson's sake. If something happened to Reyson in the dark, Tibarn might not know about it until it was too late. And that scared him.

But Reyson was fine. At the sound of it opening, Tibarn stepped through the door and found Reyson with his hands, to grab his shoulders and make sure, by touch as well as by firefly light, that he really was there. "You're alright?" He asked, a little more calmly although, really, not much. "Is Leanne here, too?"

Reyson relaxed beneath the touch of Tibarn's warm hands; it wasn't easy for either of them to feel safe in this unending darkness, but feeling Tibarn so near eased him a bit.

"Yes, she's in her room now; I found her earlier - she'd lost herself in the hallway. But there is no need to worry, she's all right." When the door slid shut behind Tibarn and cut off the sparse light cast by the fireflies, Reyson tensed again, his spine stiffening. This darkness was unnatural, and he didn't like it one bit - even opening his eyes wider did not help; the blackness of space was perfect and unbroken.

"You may as well attempt to sit - standing in this is unnerving."

Actually, Tibarn felt better standing. And if it were anyone else, he'd've told them so. But this was Reyson, and he was always trying to do what was best for Reyson. Which included not keeping Reyson standing.

"Attempt is right," he said, making no move to let go over Reyson just yet. He looked around the room, as if he might be able to see where the couch was. But of course, all he could see was darkness. "There was somewhere to sit by the far wall, right?" He let go over Reyson's shoulders but took his hand, and started walking towards where he thought the couch was.

And slammed his leg, with a THUNK and a curse, into the same table Reyson'd hit. This is going to be a great night.
