[CLOSED] Catching Up on the Future

Who: Ukitake Jushiro (ocean_lightning) and Hitsugaya Toushirou (sonofwinterlion)
What: Two Shiro's settling down for tea and talk and catching up in the opposite direction. Not to mention lots of S.S Thor-prepping. :|d 
When: Shortly after Hitsugaya arrives and wades through all the paperwork - roughly a week back from today.

Hitsugaya could tell already he was not going to enjoy himself on this spaceship. He’d never really been one of the ‘technological inclined’ when he was in the World of the Living World. Sure, it was true he could figure them out and use them, but he never preferred them. Call Hitsugaya a bit old school if you wanted, it was true. He’d already spent the last few hours doing nothing but that paperwork they kept forcing upon him. All things considered…? He was glad for that distraction

The door, which had inherited the unfortunate habit of its relatives involving the art of speaking, piped up almost the moment Hitsugaya spoke. It was a rather excitable thing, despite the relative peacefulness of the inhabitants of its own room, and now it took up the bright, cheerful tones of a schoolteacher getting ready for class - or, perhaps, an overbearing aunt would have been more accurate.

"Oh~? What's this? Another one of you white-haired humans! And such a very small one!" One could almost imagine it leaning over and getting ready to pinch Hitsugaya's cheeks, if only it had been a person. "Absolutely adorable! Are you a relative of the other man, little thing? He's such a dear too, you know, always so well-spoken! And he never slams anything shut! But my, the resemblance between you two is uncanny -!"

Hitsugaya closed his eyes. There it was again, those annoying talking doors. He really wasn't beginning to enjoy this at all. An eye twitched in reaction to the door's words. This really wasn't at all a very amusing thing. He was not adorable, and that was one fact that door better get straight. Speaking of his size... had never bothered him so much, although he hated the comments of being a child. (Thankfully for the door, in all technicality, it hadn't reached that comment yet.)

"I am of no relation beyond our work to Ukitake," Hitsugaya replied simply. The unamused features lay sketched across his face. What was he supposed to do now? He couldn't just open the door. Yet, anymore of this so called talking door and Ukitake might find his room somehow doorless in the near future.

Fortunately for Hitsugaya (and probably the door too), it was at this moment that Ukitake finally reached it on the other side, having heard the knock and familiar voice from the kitchen. As if the familiar icy reiatsu hadn't been enough of an alert in itself...

Ukitake's own reiatsu, firmly controlled though it always was, preluded him a few moments before he fully approached the door. There was a second's pause, in which he said something a bit muffled on the other side and the door responded with: "Aaaaw, if you say so, then..."

And then it swung open, and the taller white-haired Captain stood on the other side. He was still in uniform, white haori and all - as he'd decided that, for this occasion, it was probably a good course of action.

"Ah, Toushirou! There you are...just on time, too. I'm - er - I apologize for the door, it's a bit enthusiastic..."

He laughed a bit sheepishly, then pulled it wider and stepped aside to allow the smaller Captain entry.

"Come in, come in. The tea's ready."
